December 5, 2000 - Burma Watch International member and former MLA Jim Gurnett in a letter "Travel piece ignored Burma's problems" to the Edmonton Journal asks the Journal editors to recognize they have "a responsibility not to encourage Canadians to make choices for travel that provide support and legitimacy to a government that has been condemned by democratic leaders in every part of the world".
